Mr.R Dayal, is Presently Executive Director (Production Engineering) in Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate from BITS, Pilani in 1974, he worked with M/s Hindustan Motors and M/s. BHEL in the areas of Production and Quality Assurance. Presently working in Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) since 1985 in various areas like Quality of incoming Parts, Quality Assurance, after Sales Service & Supply Chain. Since August 2004, looking after Production Engineering, Production Services and Tool & Die Shop.

• Played a key role in Maruti Suzuki India Limited achieving.

• Conformity of production for export of vehicles.

• ISO 9002 certification and recertification.

• CII-Exim Business Excellence Award in 1998.

• JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey Award in the years 2000 & 2001.

• Set up flexible production facilities including up gradation, engine plants, civil construction, utilities etc.

• Part time director to the board of mark auto ltd from 2001 to 2005

• Part time Director to the board of M/s JBM Limited and M/s Caparo India Limited since 2005 and

• Co-Chairman ITI Rohtak. Actively participated in various committees set up by Bureau of Indian Standards, CII and SIAM.

Mr. Dayal is actively involved in SAEINDIA and is currently its President . Mr. Dayal was Chairman of the organising committee of 5th International Mobility Conference on ‘Emerging automotive technologies global & Indian perspective ‘organised by SAEINDIA from 9th to 11th Jan08 in New Delhi, attended by more than 500 delegates from India & abroad. He was also Chair Section Board for Two terms from 2006 Jan – Dec.2009
