He is currently Vice President, John Deere Technology Center, John Deere India Private Limited.In this position, he is responsible for operations of John Deere Technology Center, the off-shore captive development center that supports Deere units world wide in areas of Engineering Services, Manufacturing Services, Embedded Systems, Information Systems, Technical Authoring Services and Supply Management.

Qualification and Experience

He is a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) in 1982 and PG Diploma (SQC & OR) from Indian Statistical Institute – 1988. He did his MBA from Indian Institute of Management- Ahmedabad in 1991.

His total work experience is 25 Years in Manufacturing, IT and Consulting

Professional Highlights

He started is career with m/s Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd in 1982 as Engineer Trainee. He worked in manufacturing and operation planning for 7 years. Subsequently he switched over to the private sector, working for diverse companies, specializing in business consulting and IT. He worked for M/S Robert Bosch India, for 8 years, as head of IT and Business Applications practice at its offshore development facility in Bangalore.

He is well known for his capability to harness IT for competitive advantage for various business verticals.

He joined John Deere India Pvt Ltd in June 07, as Country Head, Information Systems, and was elevated to the current position in February 09.

Professional Trainings

He is trained on various quality standards including ISO-9000, EFQM and CMMI. He has participated in various executive education programs conducted by leading Management Schools in India and abroad.

Other Activities

He is an active member of SAEINDIA and is in the Managing Committee of SAEINDIA since 2009. He is a leading reviewer of books on business management, having reviewed over 250 books.
