Mr.Govindarajan is presently the Technical Advisor & Chief - R&D, Ucal Fuel Systems Limited, Chennai.

Qualification and Experience:

He is a BE. (Hons.) (1963) & M.Sc. Engineering (1969) in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University.

He started his career in teaching Mechanical Engineering and IC Engines related subjects to Bachelor and Master's level students in Annamalai University - 14 years

He joined UCAL group in 1977, heading the R&D Department and rose to the position of President of Ucal Fuel Systems Limited (from 2000 to 2004 )

Professional Highlights:

Has authored over 50 Technical Papers and Articles in the field of Spark-Ignition Engines, Emission Control Technology and Fuel

Management System.

Has registered 3 Patents

Winner of the "AUTOMOBILE ENGINEER OF THE YEAR 1996", award instituted by the Institution of Automobile Engineers, India.

Other activities:

• Member of the Syndicate, Senate and Academic Council - Annamalai University, Annamalainagar, India for six years (1998-2004).

• Member of the Academic council, Anna University, Chennai, India (2005-2008).

• Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India)

• Member of Combustion Institute, Pittsburgh

• Member of SAE of Japan

• An active Member (over 32 years) of SAE International, USA and now SAEINDIA (affliated to SAE International).

• Had served as Treasurer (2 years) and Chairman (4 years) of SAE International - Southern India Section.

• Had served as Secretary of SAEINDIA and Chairman of SAEINDIA -Southern Section (2 years)

• Member of the Managing committee of SAEINDIA since 2008

• Honorary visiting Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar, India
