Inala Veerabhadra Rao, popularly known as IV Rao, completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University and Masters in Mechanical Engineering from IIT-Kanpur and started his career with KG Khosla and co in 1979. He joined Maruti in 1983 and has spearheaded the R&D activities at Maruti Suzuki. Mr. Rao is currently heading the Engineering vertical in Maruti Suzuki India Limited as Managing Executive officer. Mr. Rao looks after Engineering, Research, Design & Development function along with Quality Assurance and Service functions. Professional Highlights:In his 26 years career at Maruti Suzuki, Mr Rao has made significant contribution in different roles and positions in Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering functions. Under his leadership, Maruti R&D has grown from strength to strength and has developed capability for new model & facelift development, alternate fuel product development and new technology development. He has keen interest in SAEINDIA activities and holds the position of Senior Vice Chairman of SAE Northern India section.
